What can I feed squirrels?

The squirrel and bird feeders can be combined. Squirrels and birds get along well together.

For example, you can offer hazelnuts, carrots, walnuts, sunflower seeds and apples as food. For young animals, the nuts should be shelled.

Why are the Alberts feeders and shelters so easy to assemble?

All products have perforations at structurally important points. At the perforations, the metal is simply bent into the respective shape. However, other variations can also be bent. The sloping canopy, for example, can also be bent into a straight canopy or a shelf.

Do nails and screws injure a tree?

Large and healthy trees are able to cope well with an injury such as a small nail hole or a screw hole If a tree is injured by a nail or screw, a few of its water and nutrient lines are cut. The tree recognises this and immediately begins to heal the wound by selectively storing resins and oils to seal the wound. In the following years, the tree forms particularly strong reaction wood at this point. A large and healthy tree can easily cope with such situations due to its large energy reserves.

Why do I need a feeding station in the garden?

Feeding animals in the garden is very popular. Here, animals can be observed at close range. Children and young people can be introduced to the animal world in the garden as an experience through a feeding station. Experienced garden lovers can find out which animals live in their garden.

How do I avoid dampness in bird feeders?
  • Positioning the bird house: Make sure the bird house is hung in a place that is protected from direct rain.
  • Good ventilation: A bird house should be constructed so that it has sufficient ventilation to minimise dampness.
  • Regular cleaning: Clean the bird house regularly and remove wet or damp food.
Why steel feeders and shelters?

Steel is a long-lasting and very durable material. Better to buy quality once than to replace it three times - this is the attitude of many end consumers. There is also an increasing demand for products that emphasise a certain degree of individuality. Following this premise, we have developed this range. The articles are sendzimir galvanised and some articles are additionally coated. An optimal protection of the steel against weather influences. The surfaces promise long-lasting durability and allow both discreet use and a deliberately colourful accent.

How can I protect my wooden bird house from rain?

Most feeders, birdhouses and insect nesting sites are not protected by varnishes and glazes. This surface protection is not recommended for wildlife, as it can be harmful to the animals' health. Here, constructive protection should be used. The Alberts protective roofs from the range of wildlife accessories are particularly suitable here. They are perforated at constructional points, so they can be bent individually as needed, and they are available in different sizes, colours and shapes.
